Artist Biography: Painter, lithographer and illustrator. Rregarded as one of the master lithographers of the twentieth century.~~Known for spare, geometric depictions of urban America, Lozowick's signature style is informed by Cubist and Precisionist~aesthetics of composition.~~Emigrated to the United States in 1906 at the age of 14, settling in NewJersey. Attended the National Academy of Design and eventually received a four-year degree from Ohio State University. Traveled across America and eventually went to Europe between 1920 and 1924. Began creating his lithographs while abroad, where he formed close friendships among the avant-garde artists of Paris, Berlin, and Moscow. ~~Career as a lithographer spanned 50 years.~~
